Hi,We have just returned home after staying with you for two nights and I wanted to send you an email to say what a fantastic place it was to stay. The rooms, the food, the service, everything was amazing. Thank you all so much, we will definitely be returning. With kind regards Graham & Alison Kemp ![]() Date of Posting: 17 August 2011 Posted By: Alison Kemp This was our second visit to your wonderful hotel and it seemed even better than the first. Fantastic room, excellent food (including that which you rustled up late on arrival even though chef had left!) and superb beer too.Your breakfasts are second to none and this location has the peace and tranquility necessary to allow us to properly relax. Thanks very much Andy ![]() Date of Posting: 11 July 2011 Posted By: Andrew Daines Bracknell My son and I travelled down from Cheltenham to take my elderly mum, who lives in Somerset, here for lunch on Mothering Sunday and it was faultless. We were made very welcome and despite the fact it was fairly busy our food and service was second to none. Obviously we can't comment on the accommodation but we would have no hesitation in recommending it for food.![]() Date of Posting: 05 April 2011 Posted By: Helen Shapcott Cheltenham Stayed at The Exmoor Inn for two nights on recommendation. Dog Friendly Rooms were adequate, comfortable and clean. The food was very nice. The setting was perfect for dog walking which we did in abundance. The weather was just perfect for March, and very warm. Plenty of different walks, take a map and compass though, you could easily get lost once you're out in the middle of the moor and off the footpath. One observation you might find useful, when you decide to take a shower or bath, run the hot water for 5 minutes before you intend to do so it is not instantaneous. Would go back. Happy holidays!!![]() Date of Posting: 28 March 2011 Posted By: Lin McLaren Dorset Really enjoyed our stay over the first weekend in February. Despite the weather the Exmoor Forest Inn made our break very enjoyable - lovely room, very friendly and welcoming and what great food too! A lovely setting & dog-friendly as well...if only they could have controlled the weather! We very much intend a return visit.![]() Date of Posting: 07 February 2011 Posted By: Mike Harris St Agnes, Cornwall In our view, the Exmoor Forest Inn could survive as a pub, a restaurant or a B&B, but the 3 combined makes for a fabulous combination and all round pleasant experience! The hospitality is second to none - you are treated like a local by everyone. It is such a welcoming place. The rooms are clean, tidy and in good condition. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to have a shower installed in the bathroom, but it doesn't really matter - we quite enjoyed having hot baths which worked with the setting better than a shower would in any event! The breakfast is stunning, the food in the restaurant is worth the travel there alone. We were there for 2 nights between 2nd and 4th December 2010 when the snow hit but we were cosy and warm. We actually got engaged in the nearby Dunster Woods whilst we were there!! We hope to come back again and urge anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Exmoor to look no further than the Forest Inn. ![]() Date of Posting: 10 December 2010 Posted By: Marcus Greenaway Maria Wieczorek St Austell, Cornwall Stayed at the inn for a weekend with friends, this is a quick thank you for the hospitality, marvelous food(restaurant & breakfast)and excellent beverages available. The rooms were clean and comfortable and hosts Nick and Janice always there and present to help at any time.
